How often are lessons and how do I pay?​
Most students, particularly of school age, have a weekly lesson and pay in advance per term. However,there is no minimum commitment, students are welcome to book as frequently as it suits them, space and schedule allowing. weekly, monthly, ad hoc etc. The BeatSchool booking system issues Term Invoices and can accept cash or Internet Transfer payments in advance of your scheduled lesson.
Is there a minimum age to start lessons?
What Styles and Levels are covered?​
Our years of professional experience teaching drums means whatever musical style you would like to work on, whatever stage, he can help! Any level and age is ok, beginners are most welcome.
What if I don't read music?
No problem! You can start lessons with no knowledge of written music and through the learning process you will be able to read basic drum notation in a very short space of time.
Children can begin lessons as young as 5 years, provided they have completed at least two terms of Primary School.
Will I have to learn technique and rudiments?
Good technique and a strong knowledge of the 40 PAS rudiments are recommended for any drummer. Our lessons feature both those elements, introduced gradually over time to ensure you're headed in the right direction, permanently!
Can I sit a Grade Exam?
Absolutely, if you wish to sit one!
We support students, particularly youngsters, through Trinity College London Grade Exams on a regular basis. In the lessons we can focus on the relevant tracks and exercises to enable the candidate to achieve the best grades possible.



Do I need any equipment to get started learning drums?
For lessons you don't need to bring anything at all, both studios are fully equipped with the latest electronic drums. A practice pad and drum sticks are recommended for home learning once you begin your drumming journey however.
